Sir Keir Starmer started things off carefully before seemingly throwing caution to the wind and overseeing the deselection of several left-wing Labour members.

Rishi Sunak memorably began the campaign drenched in rain. After getting dried off, he made a series of policy announcements aimed at winning over older voters. But will this come at the expense of younger votes?

In true Lib Dem style, Sir Ed Davey embarked on a series of eye-catching photo opportunities – from paddleboarding to baking. And Richard Tice and Reform UK did their best to position it all as an ‘immigration election.’
