Rishi Sunak has been urged by cabinet ministers and senior Conservatives to ‘go for the jugular’ and attack Keir Starmer in the general election campaign.
With two and a half weeks left until polling day, ministers are concerned that the PM’s approach so far has been ‘too generalised’ and doing little to shift the polls, in which Labour have had a double-digit lead since September 2022, according to Deltapoll’s Joe Twyman.
