Julian Assange wins right to ask UK Supreme Court for US Extradition Appeal

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange will be allowed to seek a Supreme Court appeal against his extradition to the United States. In December, the UK’s High Court ruled that he could be extradited to the US to face espionage charges – however, the same judges have now found Mr Assange’s case contains a point of law of general public importance, meaning he can now seek leave to appeal to the Supreme Court, the country’s highest court, as Europe Correspondent Nick Dole explains.
